About Dr. Leigh Ann Chapman
Dr. Leigh Ann Chapman provides integrative healthcare in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Chapman provides comprehensive care for all aspects of family medicine. She has a special focus in pediatric developmental disorders and utilizes both natural and conventional therapies in the treatment of children and adults with Autism, Asperger syndrome, sensory integration disorders and ADHD. Dr. Chapman blends cutting edge biomedical protocols with traditional Naturopathic philosophy to provide the most comprehensive treatment for each and every child.
Leigh Ann is an advocate and activist for the autism community serving on the board of the Autism Society of Oregon. She also serves on the editorial review committee for the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders.
Dr. Chapman is currently involved in clinical research on autism as a condition of oxidative stress. Specifically, she is studying glutathione replacement therapies in autistic children. She is also collecting preliminary data on Vitamin D levels in families of children with autism.
Leigh Ann is a board certified doctor of Naturopathic medicine. She received her bachelor of science from Tulane University. After working for two years with a midwife in Kauai, Hawaii, she pursued her medical degree from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine. She now lives in Portland, Oregon and enjoys teaching, surfing, cooking and gardening.
